Terry Powell is the Founder and Visionary Game Changer of The Entrepreneur’s Source® (ESource), a 35-year-old world-class franchise coaching company. ESource disrupted the franchise industry in 1984 and transformed the conventional thinking behind alternative career coaching for aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners.
In 1998, 14 years after he launched ESource, Terry recognized the need to franchise his concept. Today through a transformative self-discovery coaching process, over 140 career transition coaches have assisted tens of thousands of individuals in North America go from employment to empowerment through business ownership. Those thousands of clients have invested more than $1 billion in over 600 franchised businesses across 85 industries.
Terry is committed to the development and advancement of the entrepreneur and those who aspire to that role. Recently, he partnered with Sacred Heart University to establish the Lisa Powell Memorial Endowed Scholarship in memory of his daughter. The scholarship will benefit women who are studying business and entrepreneurship. Terry is also collaborating with the university to establish a graduate program in entrepreneurship, which will include a curriculum focused on franchising.
At his core, Terry Powell is a serial entrepreneur. Ever since he started his first business at the age of 16, Terry has never looked back. As a Franchise Thought Leader he continues to apply his knowledge and experience in the entrepreneurial community by impacting others through coaching. The company’s coaching methodology and success has been widely publicized in numerous media, including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, ABC, Fox & Friends, and Bloomberg TV.
Performance Enhancement Team
David Smith serves as the Strategic Integrator for TES where he works in partnership with the Visionary Founder to lead company operations, business planning and execution and has done so since January 2017. David uses the Entrepreneurial Operating System® to ensure that the team at the Performance Enhancement Center remains steadfastly focused on helping our Coaches be successful. By constantly enhancing our resources and prioritizing our biggest opportunities, David’s role as the Strategic Integrator makes sure that our Coaches have the tools they need to build a thriving practice.
Prior to joining TES David enjoyed a diverse 20-year franchising career that included entrepreneurial and leadership roles with established franchise systems, emerging brands and start-ups. Most recently he served as Vice President and Brand Director for Global Franchise Group where he led 300-unit QSR brand. Prior to that David was Vice President of Operations and COO of Rising Roll Gourmet Franchising Company in Atlanta, Georgia, and Sr. Director of Franchise Operations for the HoneyBaked Ham company.
Kelly Allis comes to The Entrepreneur’s Source (TES) with 10 years of franchise experience as a national franchise business operations consultant. She has worked with initial startups and established franchise locations through franchise operations implementation and ongoing support. Kelly has a unique skill set for identifying opportunities for performance improvement in operations, sales, revenue and profitability with direct experience in Sales, Sales Management, Profit Performance and Franchise Relations. As a Performance Enhancement Coach at The Entrepreneur’s Source, Kelly works hand in hand with our coaches to provide ongoing support in all areas of their business to ensure they are ramping up quickly and achieving their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, & Equity (ILWE) goals.
Marissa Frois is the Marketing Manager at The Entrepreneur’s Source, bringing over 10 years of experience in branding, marketing, market research, and client acquisition and support. She is committed to the success of all the TES Career Transition Coaches and their clients, and provides creative and cutting-edge marketing and technology resources to not only demonstrate the great value provided by the coaches, but to ensure that all coaches can utilize the most modern and innovative marketing techniques. Marissa has a demonstrated history in coaching, mentorship, social media strategy, digital marketing & entrepreneurship.
Mr. Brogan has served as a Performance Enhancement Coach for TES in Southbury, CT since February 2018. From June 2014 to February 2018, Mr. Brogan was a multi-unit franchisee for Two Men And A Truck in Westchester County, NY, and Rockland County, NY, and earlier served as the Operations Director at their corporate office in Lansing, MI. Previously, Mr. Brogan held operations management roles with Netflix and product distribution companies, and leadership roles in healthcare.
David has nearly 10 years of experience in the franchising industry as both a franchisee and development professional. David left his career in corporate finance to pursue his dream of business ownership. After building and selling a very successful residential cleaning franchise, David purchased a second franchise in the hair care industry. It was during this time that David discovered his talent and passion for helping others to pursue their business ownership dreams. David has worked in a development capacity for multiple brands and is excited about utilizing his skills to expand the TES family.
As the Business Development Strategist at The Entrepreneur’s Source, Susan brings with her over 29 years of hands-on, comprehensive brand management, franchise development and business development experience for leaders in franchising across diverse industries.
Her experience includes developing and leading teams of high-achieving franchise development professionals, which includes creative sourcing of franchise prospects for multiple brands, creation and implementation of awards processes, review and clarification of the franchise disclosure documents, and execution of franchise agreements.
Responsible for compliance with FTC regulations, all reporting accountabilities, and supervision of all Franchise Development Department initiatives.
Currently, Susan oversees hundreds of emerging and established franchise brands for The Entrepreneur’s Source and provides coaching and education focused on driving results in franchise development. The Entrepreneur’s Source, with its unique coaching methodology, has helped thousands of brands grow over the past 34 years with our team of over 150 E-Source Coaches.
“There has to be a better way!” has been a recurring thought that constantly hounds me to the point of obsession. Some may call it daydreaming, others the entrepreneurial itch. I’ve found that I’m not alone in my quest and in my pursuit for self-sufficiency. When I came to the United States over 22 years ago, I immediately felt the connection to the country, to its people, to the American Dream. And then, I found The Entrepreneurs Source (or, really, it found me). Right from the start, there was a very personal connection for me with the organization, and with its Vision, Mission, and Values, which is to empower individuals to reach their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity (ILWE) goals, by using the business as the vehicle to get there. For over 16 years, I’ve been working with coaches in various capacities, whether it be to help launch their business, training, ongoing support, or in developing processes and systems to make the business stronger. Needless to say, my roles and responsibilities have evolved and changed over the years; but, whatever I do, it is always in the spirit of helping people empower themselves and create a better future for themselves and their families.
Laura Granato, Director of Training and Education, brings over 10 years of experience in training, development, and ongoing education, with six of those years specifically focused in the franchising industry. She specializes in creating, enhancing and executing training programs for new franchise owners as well as in providing various methods of continued education for more seasoned franchise owners. Laura has a passion for assisting franchise owners by providing them the fundamental skills to ramp up their business and continue to hone their skills as their business grows. She provides training and education through on-site classroom training, our Virtual Learning System, video conferencing, and more.
